Roof installation is a noisy and sometimes messy process. We have been doing this work for over 15 years and work to the highest professional standards to make sure we impact you as little as possible, but there are some things you can do to help us out and protect your property and belongings.
- Consider relocating for a few days during the process. Sometimes people opt to stay with friends or rent an Airbnb for a few days during a new roof installation. This is especially important if you work from home or need rest during the day. We will give you an estimate of how long the process will take and do our best to get it done in that timeframe. If you choose to stay home, please refrain from interfering with our crew. We need to focus fully on the job to stay safe and efficient in our work. Also, for your safety, please avoid coming outside while we work whenever possible.
- Consider pets and small children. With the amount of noise and activity that will be present, please make arrangements for your pets and small children. This work can be very upsetting to dogs, especially those that are sensitive to loud noises, and conditions around the house will be potentially hazardous for small children.
- Alert your neighbors. Out of courtesy, let them know you will be having a roof installation done and provide them with the timeline you’ve been given.
- Remove or cover furniture. Activity on the roof means the potential for dust and fine particles to fall from the ceiling. Consider removing furniture on the top floor to a garage or outside (weather permitting), or at least covering things with tarps or drop cloths. This will make clean-up easier when the job is done.
- Move your vehicles. If you can, park down the street or at a neighbor’s house. This will protect your car from any falling debris and avoid picking up a stray nail in your tire.
We want to thank you for choosing Aztec Roofs for your roof installation. Rest assured, we will make sure you and your belongings are safe during this process. When we are finished, the only sign that we’ve been there will be a beautiful new roof that you will enjoy for decades.
